The Liassidi Palace Hotel is housed in a 15th century Venetian gothic building located 300 metres from the famous San Marco square. The hotel's 27 guestrooms have a detailed, classically-styled decor with light coloured oak and gold carved headboards, brass and glass tables and large canvas reproductions of important Venetian works. All rooms provide air conditioning, satellite television and high-speed Internet ports.
A buffet breakfast is provided each morning in rooms with original beamed ceilings and white-linen-draped tables. A bar opens from early evening until late night for espresso and cocktails. A garden courtyard scented with jasmine and lemon plants features cushioned seating and oversized umbrellas. Two spacious areas, one traditional and one more contemporary, offer peaceful relaxation / eading space. The traditional area in the palazzo's grand hall contains the original 15th-century beamed ceiling. Outside the hotel and around the San Marco district are many boutiques with designer clothing, jewellery and Venetian arts, crafts and souvenirs. Venice Marco Polo airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel. The hotel's concierge can arrange private water taxi from the hotel's privately owned landing stage on the canal. Journey time to the train/bus station and taxi point is 30 minutes. A public boat (the Alilaguna) can also be caught at St. Mark's pier and the journey time is 1 hour. Once at the station, bus/train and taxis can be taken to the airport.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Marco Polo Airport:
Approximate driving time to the Piazzale Roma, historical Venice's only entry point by car, is 20 minutes and distance is 8 miles / 13 kilometers. Car rentals are available online, and there is public parking at Piazzale Roma, the historical center's land- transportation terminus, and a parking garage at nearby Tronchetto.
Directions to hotel:
The St. Mark's Basin waterbus stop nearest the hotel is San Zaccaria, approximately 200 meters (219 yards) away. Guests must ask for directions to a street near the docks called Sotoportego San Zaccaria. Walk straight on that street away from the water to a square called Campo San Zaccaria. Pass through the square to the end and turn left. Turn right at the first street (Campo San Provolo) and proceed until the street bears right and becomes Fondamenta de l'Osmarin, which borders a small canal. Proceed to the end of the street. Cross one bridge to the left and immediately cross a second bridge to the right. (Together the bridges are known as Ponte Dei Greci.) The second bridge leads to a narrow passage, and the first open door on the left leads to the hotel's entrance courtyard.
